Nancy Ajram's bold statement: "Women are more important than men"!
It was Nancy Ajram's first time at the Dubai World Cup - AKA the world's richest horse race - and she was dressed to impress in a chic black and blue shift dress (yes, we're sure it wasn't white and gold) matched with a beautiful black hat adorned with flowers.
CNN Arabic, who attended Saturday's event, caught up with the Lebanese superstar, where she briefly discussed the races, Arab women and showbiz.
With her husband Fadi el Hachem by her side, a delighted Nancy started off by expressing her utmost excitement at being at the Meydan Racecourse, describing the event as "elegant."
"I'm very excited to be here," Nancy said, glowing. "This event is really huge and elegant. I like this type of sport because it mixes between the beauty of the horses and the sport itself.'
CNN then touched on a very important topic: why Nancy doesn't have any enemies in the industry. The humble singer's explanation was simple.
It all goes down to Nancy's non-confrontational nature. She summed it up in those words, "I love my work and what I do, and I'm always careful where I step. I sometimes hear what people say about me but I don't verbally answer them back; Instead, I do it by creating successful work."
As for her music, Nancy admitted that she's quite slow at releasing new albums, but that her new album is just like what her fans have gotten used to: it's a mixture of romantic, folklore and classic songs, sung with Lebanese, Egyptian and Khaliji accents.
But the most important statement Nancy made in her conversation with CNN was that about Arab women.
"I'm an Arab women, so giving you my opinion on them may be biased. Arab women are very special and are now reaching quite high positions in life. Allow me to say that women are more important than men, because women have a bigger responsibility in life, which is to succeed at home with their family and at work. I'm very happy with where I'm at today. People's love comes from God and it is what I seek."
Finally, the UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador wished for peace in the Middle East, stressing that a united Arab world is what will prevent others from shaking it, and what will have them come out victorious.
