1st training course for Kuwaiti journalists wraps up
Chairman of the Higher Organizing Committee of Sheikh Mubarak Al-Hamad Journalism Excellence Award Ayman Al-Ali announced the completion of the first training sessions for Kuwaiti journalists who won the eighth session of the competition, which comes as part of the committee efforts to develop their media creativity and abilities.
 
Al-Ali said in a statement on Saturday on the occasion of the conclusion of the five-day session titled (Investigative Journalism) that the committee's plans on this front come in implementation of the directives of His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah on the need to address youth and provide the necessary support to them.
 
He said that the committee has set up this course in collaboration with Thomson Foundation at the American University's headquarters in Kuwait, adding that British journalist Martin Chulov who works as a reporter for the British newspaper The Guardian in the Middle East was the lecturer.
 
He explained that the course aims to train young journalists to deal with private evidences, undeclared sources, leaks and incomplete facts, indicating that making this kind of evidence influential materials is not easy.
