Kuwaiti Consulate: 2nd aid dispatch to displaced Iraqis "distributed"
The second aid dispatch to the displaced families in Iraq was distributed, Kuwaiti Consulate General in Basra announced on Tuesday.

Consul General Youssef Ashour Al-Sabbagh told KUNA that the dispatch was distributed to 247 displaced families in Iraq to alleviate their suffering; more than 3,500 families will also benefit from additional aid packages, including food and medicine, in the next few days.

Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS), Iraq Red Crescent Society (IRCS) and the Consulate General supervised handing out the aid packages.

The aid campaign comes in line with a USD-200-million grant announced by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah to support the displaced Iraqis.
