KEPS joins forces with KIA to preserve wildlife
Kuwait Environment Protection Society (KEPS) has joined forces with the Directorate of Civil Aviation at Kuwait International Airport (KIA), in an effort to preserve the country's wildlife.

KEPS Chairman Wajdan Al-Eqab told KUNA on Sunday that KEPS has forged an alliance with the Directorate of Civil Aviation and will in the near future, initiate a strategy designed to conserve the environment.

KEPS members will be given access to licenses belonging to unmanned planes in an attempt to monitor any detrimental effects these planes could have on the environment, Al-Eqab noted.

One strategy KEPS has developed to help keep biological and environmental diversity intact is a plan to observe these wireless planes so as to prevent any unfavorable effects they could have on the environment, Al-Eqab revealed. Deputy Director General of Air and Transportation Affairs at KIA Emad Al-Jalawi said the partnership with KEPS represents a concerted effort to safeguard the environment.

Al-Jalawi also said he had inspected a KEPS report on vegetation and organisms, calling them two critical components of the country's wildlife.
