Jack Warner handed lifetime ban by FIFA's ethics committee
SyndiGate.info
Former FIFA vice-president Jack Warner has been banned from all football-related activity for life after being found guilty of committing 'various acts of misconduct' in his positions as a football official.

FIFA's ethics committee said in a statement that Warner 'was found to have committed many and various acts of misconduct continuously and repeatedly during his time as an official in different high-ranking and influential positions at FIFA and CONCACAF'.

The 72-year-old Trinidadian served as the head of Caribbean and North and Central American football before quitting the sport's governing body in 2011.

The statement added that Warner was a key player in schemes involving the offer, acceptance, and receipt of undisclosed and illegal payments, as well as other money-making schemes, Sport24 reported.

Warner is also fighting extradition on the United States charges of racketeering, wire fraud and money laundering in the FIFA corruption case.

He is one of the 14 people charged by US prosecutors over accepting more than 150 million dollars in bribes over a 24-year-period.
